Kristen Peissig, M.S.

Kristen is a scientist specializing in molecular biology. During her Master’s research at the University of Georgia, Kristen investigated the embryonic development of the parathyroid glands in mice.
In subsequent academic laboratories at the University of Georgia, she explored the underlying genetic factors that contribute to cardiac hypertrophy in addition to the host immune response to the Plasmodium parasite in liver stage malaria.
Kristen’s passion for translational research led her to miRecule where she assists in the development of therapeutics for neuromuscular indications.
